Exploding foils with artificial structure as a source of ultraviolet radiation

چکیده
The results of the study radiation produced by electrical explosion Al foil with a thickness 4 μm an artificial periodic structure holes 50–400 steps created laser engraving are presented. experiments were carried out on KING pulse high-current generator (220 kA, 40 kV, 300 ns). Images exploded foils recorded using pinhole cameras 20 aperture four-frame microchannel plate camera 5 ns temporal resolution. In thin foils, it was shown that application to leads much more uniform in UV spectrum range along entire length and width foil. Uniform observed from 70 ns. It is such can be used for imaging test objects or plasma like wires.

Exploding Metallic Foils and Fuses: a Computational Modeling Update
The Los Alamos computational model of exploding metallic foil behavior has been used to analyze and design a wide range of experiments in which exploding metallic foils were driven by the output current of capacitor banks and magnetic flux compression generators. Currents in the experiments ranged from 1 kA-16 MA and foil conduction times ranged from 200 ns-300 J.lS. The successes and limitatio...
متن کاملUltraviolet Background Radiation from Cosmic Structure Formation
We calculate the contribution to the ultraviolet background (UVB) from thermal emission from gas shock heated by cosmic structure formation. Our main calculation is based on an updated version of Press-Schechter theory. It is consistent with a more empirical estimate based on the observed properties of galaxies and the observed cosmic star formation history. Thermal UVB emission is characterize...

Although wearing clothing to protect one's skin from the harmful rays of the sun is not new practice, this practice is of recent increasing interest. This article discusses 1) three types of protection (sunburn, precancerous skin lesion development, and photoaging) that can be realized by covering the skin with fabric, 2) the process by which some garments come to be labeled with information ab...

The chemical composition of sporopollenin is responsive to levels of ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure, via a concomitant change in the concen...
متن کاملEvaluation of solar ultraviolet radiation in Zanjan city using the ultraviolet index
Background and Objective: Monitoring the amount of ultraviolet radiation from sunlight can provide a basis for assessing people's exposure, raise public awareness and warn people against this radiation. Measuring the sun's ultraviolet index over a working period is an accurate choice to achieve this goal. Materials and Methods: In this study, the amount of solar UV index in one of the outdoor ...
